Effective marketing starts from the inside and moves outward.
How well is your church or organization reaching and retaining your current members and visitors? Are you effectively connecting with them, or just blindly promoting yourselves?
The truth is that if your current congregation is not actively inviting people, there are reasons why. If a church has members that are not inviting people and visitors leave just as quickly as they came, then there is an indication of internal problems that need to be addressed. If this is the case, and you do an ad campaign, or a direct mail piece, all you are doing is inviting people to come in and see why no one is inviting people to your church. They will then go away, never come back and tell all their friends why they will not return.
Once you are connecting well with visitors, your regulars will recognize this and invite others more often. That is the foundation of good marketing. Once you have that connection, you build upon it with branding and then promotion—knowing who you are in the context of who you are trying to reach, and then making everything you do reflect that, so that you aren’t just shaping perception flippantly, but strategically.
God has called your church to a specific mission and it's Artistry's heart to see you fulfill that mission and relate to your community in ways you've never seen before. Find out more about Artistry's Connectivity Consulting...
